Privacy policy

busseltonairportcarhire.com is an independent guide to hiring a car at Busselton Airport and exploring the region. It is a small, static website. This page explains the little it collects and the outside services it relies on.
What we collect
- Nothing you type. The site has no accounts, sign-up forms, comments or newsletter. We never ask for your name, email, payment details or location.
- Outbound click counts. When you click a car hire link, the site records that one click happened on that day for that company, then sends you on. We store only a tally per company per day. No IP address, device identifier, cookie or other personal information is attached to it.
- Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (requested page, time, IP address, browser type) for security and operations under Netlify's privacy policy. We do not use those logs to identify visitors.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies of its own and runs no advertising trackers. Your browser may keep ordinary cached copies of the page's files so it loads faster next time.
Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and does not fingerprint devices or track you across sites; it gives us aggregate numbers such as how many people visited, which pages they read and which country they came from, and nothing that identifies an individual.
Third-party services the page loads
To show live conditions and the map, your browser fetches data directly from a few outside services. Each one sees the ordinary technical details of that request, such as your IP address, under its own policy:
- Open-Meteo for wind and swell forecasts.
- OpenFreeMap for map tiles, based on OpenStreetMap data.
- Google Fonts and cdnjs for typefaces and the map library.
Affiliate links
Links to car hire companies may be affiliate links. If you book after following one, we may receive a commission from that company or its affiliate network at no extra cost to you. Once you leave this site, the company you land on applies its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies to attribute the booking. We never see your booking details.
Links to other sites
The guides link to wineries, breweries, restaurants, attractions and official sources. Those sites are not ours and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Children
The site is intended for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect any information from children, and since we collect nothing personal from anyone, there is nothing to collect.
Changes
If the way the site works changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised.
